Hello reader. My name is Christian and I'm from southern Germany.
Together with Isabel and Priscilla, I will be writing about my experiences in
the Social Media for Business class, at the Business School Lausanne (BSL),
Switzerland, as well as any thoughts or observations I had.
Social media. It splits the people into
two groups: some love it, either because of its use or due to almost an
addiction, and the others hate it, since they feel like it is a waste of time.
No matter which party you belong to, you have to acknowledge its presence and
make the best out of it; progress cannot be suspended, so it should be shaped
to let the features helping the common good develop, and the traits impeding
all of our development to diminish.
The Social Media for Business class just
started recently. The greatest goals I would like to reach by the end of this
class is to understand 1) the motives people have when using social media 2)
how it can be used to introduce the users into the business' culture and
environment 3) what can a business do to keep the users engaged in the social
media channels used by businesses.
My current answer to the three questions up
above is repeated involvement. Will it be the same by the end of the class? Who
knows... Maybe I'll get an incredibly insight during the lesson, maybe while
doing my own research and reading articles, or maybe my answer will stay
unchanged. But whatever happens, I'll definitely keep you updated.
Have a nice day.
~Christian
